1. Who we are

DhikrWall ("we", "our") is the data controller for the DhikrWall app and this website. Our contact email is hello@dhikrwall.app.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the App and improve your experience:

• Account and subscription: When you subscribe or restore purchases, Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) process payment and subscription status. We may receive anonymised or pseudonymised identifiers (e.g. a user ID) to enable premium features and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card details.
• Usage and diagnostics: We may collect anonymous usage data (e.g. app version, device type) and crash reports to fix bugs and improve performance.
• Preferences: Settings you choose in the App (e.g. location for prayer times) are stored on your device and may be synced or processed to provide the service.

3. Subscriptions and RevenueCat

Subscription management and entitlement checks are handled with RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives information necessary to validate your subscription (e.g. from Apple) and to restore purchases across devices. Their privacy policy explains how they process data: RevenueCat Privacy Policy. We do not use your subscription data for advertising or selling to third parties.

4. How we use your data

We use the data above to: provide the App and premium features; restore purchases; improve the App and fix issues; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Legal basis (UK & EEA)

Where UK and EU data protection law (including GDPR) applies:

• Contract: Processing necessary to provide the App and subscriptions.
• Legitimate interests: Improving the App, analytics, and security, where balanced against your rights.
• Consent: Where we ask for consent (e.g. optional features), you can withdraw it at any time.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to: access your data; correct it; request erasure; restrict processing; object to processing; and data portability where applicable. 7. Data retention

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with law. Subscription-related data may be retained as required by RevenueCat and Apple for support and compliance.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure; we will notify you of significant breaches where required by law.

9. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or higher age where required). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected a child's data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version in the App or on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
